This week
the Bass bite has been good with Jim Foote, once again, with a couple
of nice bass to 20lbs. live lining and Nicky Crumbs with a nice 21lber.
while chunking. On the bottom fishing front, the bite has been fair but
we are going for blackfish starting Fri. April 30th 8am-4pm and Wed.,
Fri. & Sat. after that. Sunday, will still be half day trips flounder/bass
combos 8am-12pm & 1pm-5pm. On April 28th Wed. we will start our night
Bass trips 6pm-11pm and every Wed., Fri. & Sat. night, after that

This weekend on the water was great! Fri. full day was fair with a couple of flatties and Sat. trips had some nice action. Sun. things slowed down a little. All and all, the flounder seemed to start biting a little better. On another note, we have seen some striper action towards the west and a couple of anglers managed to get together for a Fri. early trip with James Foote hooking up with a nice 25 lb.'er on a chunk. Sat. evening Mr. Foote got together with Albert and Tom to hook up with two bass of 22.5 lbs. and 12 lbs. Action was slow but the pools were settled! A.M. trip 14 fares 3 keepers, Frank Seibert with the 1st flounder of the year on his B-day and the pool winner, what a day to play Lotto. Afternoon trip, top of the in coming, gave us hope but no luck only one keeper for 15 fares, so mid-trip we checked a black fish spot out with only a couple swings and misses coming up short.

(www.seaotterfishing.com) Cod fishing on the Sea Otter V, had a good cod bite with a lot of ling mixed in.
