Hey Anglers,

This week we have seen an improvement with the Fluke bite and the bait is showing more every day. Still, the average catch has been only 1-4 fish per angler, with pool fish 3 - 5 lbs. We have been in Cold Spring and local waters with fish in all areas but at mid tide we get a 45min - 1 hr. shot and then things slow up. With the bite the way it was, we did manage to put the jigs on with plenty of action, and most with 10 - 15 fish in the short time we jig on these trips. The Blue Fish Trip remain very good with anglers catching 30-50 fish on jigs and bait (only keeping what they want to take home (2-5)or there limit). The pools on these trips have been from 2-7 lbs. Congrats to Tom M. for catching the 4 lb. 14 oz. Derby Fluke to date, but I'm sure we'll see a few larger fish by the end of the season.
We are chartered on 8/1 Mon. day , 8/3 wed. night, 8/5 Fri. night ,8/6 sat. 1-5pm & night. All other trips remain open.

Hey Anglers,

Our 1st extended trip was a success, with a great turn out and o.k. fishing. We will be doing another one, but the date has yet to be chosen. We will be posting it here as soon as we can fit it in, so please check back often and/or call. The local fluking has been just OK with Thurs. being poor. We've been finding some new areas holding fish, and Thurs. NT had a great pick, with Capt. Glenn at the wheel, Walter came in with the pool of 6 lbs. 12 oz. and Patty getting the lead in our derby with a 3 lbs. 12 oz. catch, bumping Tom off this week. As well, they enjoyed a nice pick of porgy's and blues that were in the mix. Sat. morning trip was another good one, with plenty of action around the boat and Sean taking home the pool with a 4 pounder.
Our Nt. trips have been very good with blues to 8 lbs. Wed NT. had Capt. Joby putting everyone on the fish, with a tally of 140 fish for 12 anglers! Sat. NT on the 6-pak, we had a good bite off of Stanford, with 65 fish for 6 anglers. The blue fish bite remains strong. So, come on down for real good jig and bait action. Our Fri full days have been slow, so we will run for a mix bag of fluke and sea bass this week. We will start running more full days during the week, so look for our schedule changes here and/or call 516 676-6361 (Our Capts. are on the phone! No more answering machine! We can give up to date info on the spot.)

Hey Anglers,

We've had a slow pick of fluke this week, and on Sun. afternoon trip we saw a great bite with everyone taking home 2-5 fish for dinner, however, that was our best trip, the fishing slowed the rest of the week from 'stepping stone' to Oyster Bay. The lack of fish encouraged us to plan a trip this Mon., 7/18 at 6 am, to sail east with optimism of good fluking. If the bite is good, a long with the turn out we will be adding a trip like this one once a week. The NT. Bass/Blues trips have been great we've seen a bass here or there but the blue fish action on both Jigs and bait has been outstanding with all anglers taking home plenty of fillets, and some with 30-40 fish a piece releasing all but there limit. The pools on the fluke have been 2-4 lbs and the blues 7-13 lbs. With the Jigging being so good, we will switch over on most trips if the fluke are slow, which we all know keeps everyone smiling, so get down here and enjoy the action.

Hey Anglers,

Looks like the fluke are coming this way. We have had a good bite all week, with pool fish to 5 lbs. and some taking home there limit. The nt. bass/blue fish trips have turned more towards blue fish. Things started off slow this week, but the fish still remain in the area and we will start jigging soon. The bass/blue fish pools have been in the 9 lbs. / 20 lbs. range. We are seeing some sea bass and porgies around and would like to make Fri. our full and combo of fluke and sea bass(?). This week 7/9 (Sat.) boat is chartered during the day and open boat at night. The 7/10 am (Sun.) trip is chartered but afternoon trip is open.

Hey Anglers,

This week has been our most productive so far. Our Bass trips have been super with many anglers taking home limits. Mon. NT Capt. Glenn took Harry and group on a charter and put 10 fish in the boat in 1hr. up to 30 lbs. By the end of the trip they caught and released 21 more along with blues to 12 lbs. The open boat started fluking with some shorts slow pick so we turned the boat to Bass, 4 anglers 8 fish to 29 lbs. The rest of the week was a carbon copy except for Thurs. The wind was not good. Sat. morning was our best Fluke trip with 13 keepers for 8 anglers to 4 lbs. We have some charters coming up so please call, also, some last minute trips have been added.

Hey Anglers,

The Bass bite remains very good on our night trips with fish as big as 46" and 38 lbs. Our 6-pak and light tackle trips have seen a super bite as well, with blues up to 9 lbs. Now, the Fluke still remain slow, but we've been banging the bottom up with o.k. results and fish to 8.5 lbs this week. Congrat's to Lou for that door mat. Please give us a call this week, because we've been doing a lot of late minute charters, so call to see what's open.

Hey anglers,

This past week the striped bass has burst open finally. Wed. nt limit for 15 fares was caught with fish to 27 lbs. Thurs. on a six pak live lining bunker we had bass to 25 lbs. Fri nt. John Tsmpas and his party of 12, had 6 bass to 30 plus lbs. and all the blues they could handle. Sat nt. open boat, Capt Joby put anglers on an all nt. bite, with blue and bass mixed, 20 bass to 20lbs. The blue bite during the day has been fair with a bass or two in the mix. Sun. early bird trip had 2 anglers with 4 bass to 25 lbs. Our trips have been mixed bag for fluke and blues, and we've been seeing a slow bite on the fluke this past week, but had word of a good bite to the east and will make our way to the areas this week. Our full day trip this week we are going to get down to Eaton's and try some spots. Our Tues. nt trip is chartered, as well as, our Fri. nt bass trip. The rest of our trips remain open boat. Sunday on our light tackle boat we saw a great bite on top water tackle with bass to 10 lbs. The weather for the week coming seems to be an eye opener for fish.
