The Fluke have been biting pretty good all week and we still see some porgies in the mix, for the bass we have only seen a bite early in the morning that's been consistent. The night bite is still hit and miss but there are still some big fish around. On Wed. night we had a 34 lb cow that picked up a top bait on a boat pole. Thur. afternoon an unbelievable Fluke bite, all local,fish to 5lbs. and a allot of them. 5 anglers had over ten keepers a piece and one had fifteen, only keeping there limit. The rest of the week was ok but not like Thurs. afternoon. We would like to let all anglers know that Monday and Tuesday 'day trips' are full and we will let you know when we are sailing open on these days again, how ever are evening fluke trips are still open on those days. a little late. Our combo trips are still seeing a good fluke bite with
pool fish to 5 and 6 lbs. The bass are hit and miss but when they bite
everyone gets in the action with fish to 28 lbs. We saw some weakfish
this week to 8 lbs. On the evening fluke we have seen a great improvement
with the bite this week and fish are running to 6lbs. On the night bass,
again a hit or miss, but the fish are still here and Fri. night was our
best night, with fish to 25 lbs. and as many blue fish mixed as you want
up to 11 lbs.
********************************************************** Date: 6-13-04 From: Lobster Man, <Lobsterrock2000@yahoo.com> Subject: Sea Otter West! Our weekly fluke/bass combos have been ok. All anglers have gone home with 2-3 fish, fluke to 4.5 lbs and bass to 20 lbs. We've seen more sea robin action this week with some porgies hitting the fluke rigs so everyday we manage to have some fun. Evening fluke has not taken off yet, so we tried fishing with the crew on Tues. and the bite was very good, we all had 2-3 keepers and we had about 20 shorts. Night bass has been very good Wed. and a charter on Thurs. being our best nights with 5 fish to 22 lbs a couple of blues mixed for 5 anglers on wed. and 13 anglers with 11 bass to 28 lbs. and one blue fish for the night. The Capt's, of the Sea Otter West would like to thank the '2004 Graduating Class' of Web Institute Naval Architectural School for sailing with us on Thurs. night. Friday's
night trip was a blast with many anglers missing fish and 5 Bass to 26
lbs. coming over the rail. The weather this weekend slowed the bites down,
but the trips we got out on still kept the anglers busy fishing. We would
like everyone to know we are now sailing all weekdays and evenings for
Fluke or Bass so please call or get on the web for a full schedule for

HOT BASS REPORT: Limited out last night with 10 fares 20 Bass and 40 Bluefish! Congrats Mr. Cahill with the pool fish 30.8 lbs. Bluefish to 6 lbs. Capt Glenn is out for 1/2 day today, 4 fares with 15 Bass to 23 lbs. with a mix of 30 Bluefish. Only keeping our limit and another great day!
