Date: 12-05-04 From: Lobster Man, <Lobsterrock2000@yahoo.com> Subject: Sea Otter West! Anglers, Fri. four of us got out and despite the hard winds we managed to pick at the togs with plenty of action, and a couple of keepers a piece to take home. Saturday, beautiful day, picked some nice keepers on the first drop, then slow pick with shorts dominating the catch. By the third drop the bite picked up and saw some more keepers come over the rail, the day ended with some going home with 2-4 and some only catching there share of shorts. We would like to let everyone know our last Day's of fishing will be Saturday & Sunday, 12/11 & 12/12, no boat this week please call and leave a phone # so we can reach you if there seems to be a chance of the boat not getting out. We are starting to skeet shoot on the week ends through the winter and will be doing this by reservation only and as weather permits. We will have a 12 person cap. on these trips. We would like to thank everyone for coming down and giving us a try this year we hope to see you next season and wish everyone a Happy Holiday And New Year! ********************************************************** Date: 11-28-04 From: Lobster Man, <Lobsterrock2000@yahoo.com> Subject: Sea Otter West! Capt's headed out on their own landing 15 keeper tog to 7 lbs. in 4 hrs. Thursday, four of us went out to check a couple of spots and took home 5 nice togs with plenty of action for 2 hrs. Saturday, most anglers caught between 10-20 fish with 1-2 being keepers. Sunday, our best day yet, weather and fish, with over 50 fish to 6 lbs. and plenty of action most of the day. Please call and leave a message if you plan on sailing with during the week days. ********************************************************** Date: 11-01-04 From: Lobster Man, <Lobsterrock2000@yahoo.com> Subject: Sea Otter West! Anglers, Another week of high winds, didn't stop us from fishing but sure kept fishermen from coming down for the action. On Wed. four of us got out and caught some tog but when the bite shut down we put on the jigs and had a good bite of blues to 8 lbs. with seven bass in the mix. On Thursday, Capt.'s B.J. and Glenn went tog 'en on their own and caught their limit with great fishing and the biggest weighing in at 7 lbs. Saturday trip tog bite was slow but the short action kept every one bending the rod. To end the week, Sunday on our charter, the wind against the tide, was fighting us a good part of the day but in the end we had a nice bunch of tog's on the boat and everyone went home with fish. ********************************************************** Date: 10-28-04 From: Lobster Man, <Lobsterrock2000@yahoo.com> Subject: Sea Otter West! Anglers, Togs are starting to bite, so come down and get some! north east wind every day this week very few anglers came fishing. But
on Monday, on a light tackle trip, Harold, Glenn and Ben had 25 stripers
and 15 bluefish all on bucktails with 3-stripers to 12 lbs. and blue to
12 lbs. Also, on Thursday, on another trip, Andrew managed 10 nice
stripers on bucktails one We would
like anglers to know that the boat is chartered Sunday 10/31, but is open
for the rest of the week. We also are sailing full days
on all trips and will be changing our night schedule,
so please call 676-6361. ********************************************************** Date: 10-17-04 From: Lobster Man, <Lobsterrock2000@yahoo.com> Subject: Sea Otter West! Anglers, The blue fishing dominated this week. The bottom fishing has been spotty, but we did manage a few more black fish this week, and we will continue to hit the black fish hard this coming week. ********************************************************** Date: 10-10-04 From: Lobster Man, <Lobsterrock2000@yahoo.com> Subject: Sea Otter West! Anglers, This week was a repeat of last. On our full day trips we have mixed it up with some nice porgies a couple of sea bass, striper's and plenty of blues to 11.5 lbs. On our half days we manage to get into some porgies, but for the most part, we are swinging blues of all sizes on jigs. The black fish have been pretty quiet as we have been making drops on some pieces during our full day trips and catching a couple of small ones. The NT. blues continue to be excellent with lots of fish from 4-10 lbs. hitting the deck. Capt. Joby continues to knock'em dead on our light tackle trips with 1-3 keepers on every trip. We also saw a couple of more keeper bass on our full day trips while baiting blues. A few past due pics were added to the Sept' Fishing Reports - Click the link at the top or bottom of the page and check them out! ********************************************************** Date: 10-03-04 From: Lobster Man, <Lobsterrock2000@yahoo.com> Subject: Sea Otter West! We saw blue fish to 11 lbs. this week on our night trips and the bite has been primarily with bait. We have also had a couple of stripers come over the rail on a couple of trips. We also have enjoyed plenty of top water action with our fares on the light tackle trips with bass to 30" and blues to 14 lbs. compliments of Capt. Joby. This weekend we have a night charter, but all the other trips are open boat. We are going to make some more changes to our schedule so please call before you come down 516-676- 6361. ********************************************************** (Click Here To Navigate Archived Reports - ( '04 Feb.-April, May, June, July, August, September, Oct - Dec, '04 ) ('05 March- May, June - July, Current Report '05)
